WE WANT YOUR PHOTOS!!!

If you are a Seminole County High School Alumni and currently serving in the Armed Forces, send us a picture.  Let us know what company, ship, etc. you are attached to if possible. We support all our troops wholeheartedly and cannot wait to see you back home in Donalsonville. Also, let us know when you are coming home. We would love to meet up with you to personally thank you for your sacrifices when you are arrive back home where you belong.

Hopefully, our page will grow as time moves on so we can pay homage to those who have sacrificed their freedoms to defend ours.

Above is Jared Fussell who sent these photos in recently.  A 2008 graduate of SCHS and former Indian football player, Jared says he enjoys serving so far and is looking forward to seeing places and people during his service time.  Make sure you keep Jared and all of his military service co-workers, no matter which branch they chose to serve, in your thoughts and prayers.  These men and women and their families are the folks that keep our freedoms secure.  Thank you for the pictures and your service Jared.

Here's a new addition to our military page, Staff Sgt. Dean Hornsby, pictured here with his two lovely daughters.  His sister Angela submitted this photo along with a little background info.  SSgt Hornsby, class of 1985, joined the US Army National Guard in 1986 and served through 1995.  He rejoined in mid-2001 and has served as a security specialist, worked in the JAG offices (armed forces legal offices), and is currently stationed at Fort Benning in Columbus, GA working in the Wounded Warriors Program.  Angela says he loves working with these soldiers and hopes for another assignment with these inspirational soldiers.

Just received an update from Jonathan Jackson.  He has completed training at Fort Eustis in Virginia to be a 15 Tango (Blackhawk helicopter crew chief).  He is now stationed at Katterbach Germany with the 12th CAB (Combat Aviation Brigade) until May 2010.  His current enlistment ends in June of 2010, but he plans on signing on for more because, and I quote, "I'm loving it!".

Jonathan wanted me to pass on hello to all his family in the lake area.  He also said to tell Kristen that he loves her very much.  I'm sure all of them will be happy to read this and are very proud of him.  Here are some recent photos of Jonathan and he says he will try to get more whenever possible.  Thanks from all of us, Jonathan.

Here is the latest update from Anthony Cainion who is back stateside.  I am now the Supply Sergeant for HHC, 87th Combat Service Support Battallion which is stationed out of Fort Stewart,  Georgia.  I give all thanks to GOD, Parents, and all of my supporters.   I look foward to coming back to Seminole County in the near future as a Head Coach  of the Indian football team one day.

We were fortunate to visit with these two former Indian standouts while they were taking much deserved time off from their duties in the military, which included tours in Iraq.  On the left is Cody Pearson and his family and to the right is Ricardo Gosier.

We're proud of all our hometown representatives and look forward to seeing more of them as they return home.
